Forgotten Australia All-Rounder Hits 159* Off 70 Balls In KFC T20 Max Competition 2025
He played 2 T20Is for Australia in 2018
Australia all-rounder Jack Wildermuth, who played two T20Is for the Kangaroos in 2018, launched one of the most stupendous batting assaults of the year in Brisbane today as the 31-year-old hammered 159* off just 70 balls in a KFC Max T20 encounter.
Representing Valley against Northern Suburbs, Wildermuth opened the batting and blasted 12 fours and as many sixes. He batted all 20 overs and racked up 159, his first ever century in any T20 tournament, unofficial competitions included.
In the second innings, Wildermuth bowled 3 wicketless overs for 29 runs, but his batting efforts ensured that Valley won the clash by 45 runs.
A medium pacer who usually bats down the order in professional games, Wildermuth made his Australia debut in 2018 in the tri-series involving Zimbabwe and Pakistan. He has one international wicket to his name, that of Wellington Masakadza.
A Big Bash League (BBL) veteran of 52 games, Wildermuth has represented both Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat. He has also played for Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
