Former England and Lancashire pacer Peter Lever has passed away after a short illness at the age of 84. Lever played 17 Tests and 10 ODIs for England, picking up 52 wickets across two formats.
Especially in Test cricket, Lever claimed 41 wickets at an average of 36.80, studded with two five-wicket hauls. He even scored 350 runs at an average of 21.87, including two fifties.
Overall, Lever featured in 301 first-class and 183 List A matches, taking more than 1,000 wickets.
Lever also featured in the first men's World Cup in 1975, the last year he played for England.
