Former RCB all-rounder Michael Bracewell will lead a depleted 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Australia, which starts on October 1 (Wednesday). Full-time skipper Mitchell Santner has been ruled out of the series as he is still recovering from abdominal surgery.
Several other big names, including Finn Allen, Adam Milne, Will O'Rourke, Glenn Phillips, and Lockie Ferguson, are missing from the three-match series. Kane Williamson, too, will not be part of it after he signed an NZC casual contract that allows him to pick and choose which series he plays.
Kyle Jamieson, who impressed with Punjab Kings in IPL 2025, has returned to the setup after missing the Zimbabwe series due to the birth of his first child. Ben Sears, too, marks a return to the setup after missing out last time around with an injury. Devon Conway, Tim Seifert, Bevon Jacobs and Tim Robinson all keep their places in the squad.
Ish Sodhi will be the frontline spin option alongside skipper Bracewell.
