Jason Holder is in red-hot form at the moment in T20s, and the all-rounder continued that form against Barbados Royals, on September 11 (Thursday) in Caribbean Premier League 2025.
Captaining the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Holder put on a dazzling all-round show against his former IPL side, the Rajasthan Royals’ sister franchise, Barbados. With the bat, the 33-year-old smashed a 30-ball 53, including five huge sixes, to take the Patriots to 150 at the end of their 20 overs.
But his clutch display came with the ball, as the all-rounder defended 13 runs in the last over despite the well-set Rassie van der Dussen at the crease. With two runs required off the last ball, Holder delivered a toe-crushing yorker to dismiss Daniel Sams to give his side a narrow one-run win.
“Was just about keeping my composure, execution is the name of the game. Happy to step up in this last over. I said to the boys we need to find a purpose in these last few games, the effort from the boys has been outstanding,” Holder said after the clash.
Holder has had a stunning CPL 2025 thus far, with 13 wickets @ 21.00, and 267 runs with the bat, striking at 167.92.
