Jayden Seales’ sensational third-best ODI bowling figures for West Indies ended a 34-year drought, sealing their first ODI series win over Pakistan since 1991. The 23-year-old pacer produced a career-best 6/18 in 7.2 overs as the Men in Maroon thrashed Pakistan by 202 runs in the third and final ODI at Tarouba on August 12 (Tuesday) - their biggest-ever win against Pakistan.
Only Winston Davis (7/51 vs Australia, 1983) and Colin Croft (6/15 vs England, 1981) have better ODI bowling figures for the West Indies. Seales’ performance is also the best-ever figures against Pakistan in the format.

“The analyst and the bowling coach just showed me the line which works in ODI cricket. I am working on it. We wanted to keep the stumps in play. The pitch was a little up and down. Especially in ODI cricket, I have learnt the length to bowl on,” said Seales after the game.
Seales finished the series with 10 wickets at an average of 10, earning the Player of the Series award. While his ODI bowling average after 25 matches remains above 30, his Test record is exceptional - 88 wickets at 22.32 with a strike rate of 39.3.
