Rishabh Pant, who is back in India for the first time since injuring his foot in England during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, recreated a childhood nostalgia after he decided to get a haircut under a tree.
Posting on Instagram, a photo of him getting his haircut under a tree on a lawn, Pant wrote, “Bachpan ki yaad aa gyi jab tree ke neeche I use to take haircut toh socha vapas try kru. Aur kitne logo ne at some point tree ke neeche haircut liye hai life mai toh batana jarur memories reheti hai bachpan ki.”
He asked people as to how many of them got a haircut under a tree in their childhood as it was a common practice till the late 2000s in Indian cities to have makeshift barbershops attached to tree trunks.
Pant, who missed the fifth and final Test of the five-match series due to injury that took place during the fourth Test in Manchester, got back in India on September 8, according to a report in Cricbuzz.
As per the same report, the 27-year-old consulted a few specialists to identify a timeline to move to the Centre of Excellence (CoE) facility of the BCCI to complete rehabilitation and get ready for the home Tests against West Indies. The Test series will begin on October 2 with the first Test at Ahmedabad.
