Sai Sudharsan is in splendid form in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 and he continued it against Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on April 9 (Tuesday) as well.
Sudharsan scored a brilliant half-century against RR, which was his fifth consecutive 50-plus score at the venue. With this, he became only the second batter in IPL history after AB de Villiers to score five consecutive 50+ scores at a venue in the competition.
The southpaw, who has scores of 74(41), 63(41), 49(36) and 5(9) this season, survived a really fiery spell from Jofra Archer at the top as some seething short bowling from the England pacer tested him. He continued scoring from the other end, particularly targeting Fazalhaq Farooqi and Tushar Deshpande.
In fact, Sudharsan averages 112 in powerplays in Ahmedabad and has scored 224 runs at a strike rate of 130.2.
The Chennai-born brought up his half-century on the 32nd ball of his innings with a single against Maheesh Theekshana in the 10th over. At the time of writing this, he was batting on 58* off 38 deliveries.
