Ashish Nehra FUMES As Gujarat Titans Drop Three Simple Catches

GT have the second-most number of dropped catches (24) in the IPL 2025

Gujarat Titans (GT) have the third-worst catching efficiency (68.1%) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, and they were at their absolute worst in the powerplay against Mumbai Indians (MI), DROPPING THREE SIMPLE CATCHES.

Mohammed Siraj got GT off to a superb start by dismissing Ryan Rickelton on the second delivery of the match, with Sai Sudharsan taking a sharp catch at covers. Siraj would have had one more in the same over, but Sudharsan dropped a simple catch at covers to give Will Jacks a reprieve.

Gujarat Titans' terrible outing on the field

Rohit Sharma (7) couldn’t do much as Arshad Khan got rid of him in the fourth over to reduce MI to 26/2, and they could have easily been four down by the end of the powerplay but GT dropped two more catches in the next two overs.

In-form Suryakumar Yadav was dropped at mid-wicket by R Sai Kishore off Prasidh Krishna’s bowling, which left GT head coach Ashish Nehra fuming. If that wasn’t enough, Siraj dropped Jacks at the same region in the next over to make it three drops for GT in the powerplay.

MI were 56/2 at the end of six overs, but things could have been a lot different if GT had held onto those catches. The Titans have the second-most number of dropped catches (24) after Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL 2025.
