Krunal Pandya, brother of India’s ace all-rounder Hardik Pandya, called the latter an inspiration to young cricketers in the nation. Krunal called Hardik’s latest comeback, which was after a horrible outing in the Indian Premier League (IPL), something that youngsters can learn from. Right after that, the junior Pandya became a vital reason for India lifting the T20 World Cup 2024.
“Hardik is a self-motivated and mature individual. His every comeback has been bigger and stronger than his setbacks. He is an asset to the Indian team and its leadership,” Krunal said to Hindustan Times during an interview.
Hardik had also got injured during the ODI World Cup 2023, in the middle of the tournament. However, he fought back and won the prestigious T20 World Cup.
Citing that, Krunal said, “He is an inspiration and certainly a living example to the young cricketers. It's easy to get distracted in today’s noisy world, but if you follow the process with self-belief, nothing else can deter you from achieving your goals.”
Hardik is currently playing for the Indian team against England while Krunal is captaining Baroda in the Ranji Trophy. Both the brothers have played together for India and Mumbai Indians in the IPL and recently they paired up once again during Baroda’s campaign in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as well as the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
