MATCH REPORTHarnoor Singh smacked 120 off 130 balls while captain Yash Dhull smacked 63 off 68 balls as India outclassed UAE by 154 runs in the opening match of the U-19 Asia Cup in Dubai on Thursday.
After losing the toss, India put up 282 for five in 50 overs, with Harnoor and Dhull making significant contributions. Rajvardhan Hangargekar's clobbered 48 off 23 balls at the end which propelled India to a commendable total.
UAE used as many as nine bowlers at the ICC Academy Ground but to no avail, as their batters buckled under pressure and were all out for 128 in 34.3 overs.
Hangargekar was pick of the Indian bowlers with three wickets while Garv Sangwan, Vicky Oswal and Kaushal Tamble claimed two wickets apiece. India will next play arch-rivals Pakistan on Saturday.
In the other matches of the opening day, Pakistan beat Afghanistan by four wickets and Sri Lanka routed Kuwait by 274 runs.
