Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker Equal Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul's Partnership Record
The duo allowed Ireland to set England a target of 197 in the first T20I in Dublin
Life under new skipper Jacob Bethell did not get off to an ideal start for England as Ireland managed to post a competitive score of 196/3 in the first T20 International (T20I) in Dublin on September 17 (Wednesday). Ireland rode on superb fifties from Harry Tector (61*) and Lorcan Tucker (55), who put on 123 for the third wicket.
As a result, they have equalled the record set by Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, who also put on 123 against England in Manchester in 2018, which is one of the highest partnerships against England for the second wicket of lower.

Ireland are yet to lose a T20I against England. The two teams have clashed twice in the format. The first game in 2010 at Providence was washed out, while Ireland beat England by five runs (DLS) when they met in the T20 World Cup 2022 in Melbourne.
This is the first time the two teams are engaging in a bilateral T20I series. The remainder of the matches will be played in Dublin as well, on September 19 (Friday) and September 21 (Sunday).
