Over the last six months, there has been a lot of brewing tension between Pakistan and India, which has put the Asia Cup 2025 clash between the two sides in major doubt. However, it is more or less confirmed that both sides won’t pull out of the clash, set to happen on September 14 in Dubai.
Ahead of that clash, Pakistan great Wasim Akram opened up on the clash, stating that both players and fans should remain ‘disciplined’ and not cross the line.
“I am sure these matches will be entertaining, just like all other Ind-Pak matches. But I hope both the players and the fans will remain disciplined and not cross the line. If Indians are patriotic and want their team to win, the same goes for Pakistani fans,” Akram told Telecom Asia Sport.
Pakistan cricket isn’t in the best of state, given they lost against West Indies 2-1 in the ODI series, and haven’t been able to find form. Does that make India the favourites? Akram had his say.
“India have been in better form recently and will start as favourites, but the team that handles pressure best on the day will win,” Akram told Telecom Asia Sport.
