ICC Champions Trophy 2025: New Zealand’s Probable Playing XI And Full Squad

New Zealand will be sweating over the fitness of Rachin Ravindra, who hasn’t played any cricket since February 8

New Zealand will commence their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign against Pakistan at the National Stadium in Karachi on February 19 (Sunday). The two teams were recently involved in the final of a tri-series, also involving South Africa, with New Zealand getting the better of Pakistan at the same venue, and that will give them a lot of confidence going into this encounter.

The Black Caps are placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, Bangladesh and India. Since the 2023 ODI World Cup, where they lost to India in the semis, New Zealand have played 12 ODIs and won seven of those games.

On February 14, New Zealand lost Ben Sears' services, with the seamer getting ruled out of the Champions Trophy 2025 due to a hamstring injury. Jacob Duffy has replaced him. New Zealand will also be sweating over the fitness of Rachin Ravindra, who hasn’t played any cricket since receiving a blow to his forehead during a game in Lahore on February 8. Lockie Ferguson is also recovering from a hamstring injury he picked up at the ILT20.
