Pakistan will be involved in the first game of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, taking on New Zealand at the National Stadium in Karachi on February 19 (Wednesday). Mohammad Rizwan and his men are placed in Group A alongside New Zealand, India and Bangladesh.
The eight-team event will be played across two countries - Pakistan and the UAE - with the ICC opting to implement a hybrid model. India will be playing all their matches in Dubai - even the semis and the final, should they go that far.

If Pakistan reach the semi-final
India will play all their games in Dubai. So, if Rohit Sharma and Co. qualify for the semis, Pakistan will play their semi-final in Lahore.
However, if India don't make it through to the knockouts, Pakistan's venue for the semi-final will depend on their position in Group A.
If they finish at the top of the table, Pakistan will play their semi-final in Dubai on March 4. If they finish second, the defending champions will play their semi-final game in Lahore on March 5.
If Pakistan reach the final
The final will be played in Lahore unless India makes it there. If it’s Pakistan vs. India in the final, the match will happen in Dubai. If India doesn’t qualify, no matter who plays, the game will happen in Lahore.
