How can you ignore Rachin Ravindra?
Well, if his form is such, there’s no way you can, as Ravindra became the first player in ODI history to score five centuries in ICC events before scoring any in a bilateral series. The left-hander got to his fifth ICC ODI tournament century against South Africa on March 5 in Lahore.
While Ravindra’s start was blistering, it was amazing how he went on from his half-century to his century, taking on Wian Mulder for three boundaries in the 18th over. The left-hander also relished Keshav Maharaj’s left-arm spin, smashing three more boundaries, including a massive six down the ground.
Eventually, Ravindra reached his century off 93 balls, becoming the first New Zealand player also to score multiple centuries in ICC ODI tournament campaigns. It was also his fifth century in ICC ODI events, the most for a Kiwi batter, with Kane Williamson closely behind with four centuries.
