After being ignored at the IPL level, former Delhi Capitals’ batter Yash Dhull scored a scintillating 56-ball 101 against North Delhi Strikers, on August 3 (Sunday) in Delhi Premier League 2025.
The right-hander last played IPL back in 2023, when he scored 16 runs in four innings, averaging 5.33. In his entire IPL career, Dhull could only get one boundary, after which he was released from the competition.
However, in his first appearance in DPL 2025, the right-hander showed why he was India’s U-19 captain in the first place. Playing for Central Delhi Kings, Dhull, opening the batting, took on every bowler, including hitting Harshit Rana for two boundaries.
But it was against the left-arm pacer Kuldip Yadav, when Dhull showed his six-hitting abilities with a crunching shot in the point region. Dhull got this half-century off just 36 deliveries before accelerating like a possessed man.
In the next 20 deliveries, the right-hander got to his century with a six and a four in the most stylish of fashions, hitting the first century of DPL 2025.
