We are done with the first week of the 2025 edition of the ILT20 and it has provided us with some truly exhilarating cricketing action.

But what if we tell you that ILT20 2025 has been ‘peak entertainment’ in more ways than one?

That’s right, every cricket match, in general, provides priceless moments that scorecards will never be able to capture and we’ve had a ton of those little, precious moments (light-hearted and otherwise) so far in ILT20 2025. 

Even if you’re someone who has followed all the action so far, chances are you might have missed these moments we’re gonna list out.

Akeal Hosein starts ILT20 2025 off with a maiden

Now, how often have you seen this happen? It’s common for T20 tournaments to start with a dot, a boundary or maybe even a wicket. But a maiden? A MAIDEN?

“Hey ump, you sure these glasses work?” - Mark Adair, probably

Gulf Giants’ Mark Adair risked getting fined by cheekily asking umpire Ahmed Shah Pakteen to ‘wipe his glasses’ after the official got a a straightforward decision wrong 

But thankfully for him, the umpire saw the funny side of it too, and they both laughed it off. You love to see it. 

Super sub-Gerhard Erasmus is DISALLOWED from being substituted in!

Yep, fair to say this is a first in history. Gulf Giants were not allowed to sub in their super sub Gerhard Erasmus because the team’s head coach Andy Flower did not inform the fourth umpire about the decision, rendering the substitution illegal.

What should have been a straightforward wicket for Waqar Salamkheil was instead turned into a free-hit due to Nicholas Pooran's sloppy wicketkeeping.
