To make things worse, England are now without their star all-rounder, Jacob Bethell, who has been all but ruled out of the entire series. Tom Banton has been roped in as a replacement. Whether they will retain Jamie Overton or replace him with Banton remains to be seen.
On the other hand, for India, there’s a strong chance that Arshdeep Singh could walk into the playing XI having missed the first two ODIs. Alongside him, there’s also a possibility that Rishabh Pant could replace KL Rahul for the last ODI, given it is the last game before the Champions Trophy.
Ahmedabad will be the venue for the third and final clash of the series.
