Despite being a consistent run-scorer, Pakistan skipper Mohammad Rizwan has become notorious for playing painfully slow knocks in white-ball cricket.
Rizwan struck 122* in a successful chase of 353 against South Africa 11 days ago but then, in the final of the same tri-series, came under fire for posting a very slow 76-ball 46 against New Zealand.
Well, less than 10 days after that showing, Rizwan has brought more harm to his reputation by playing yet another painfully slow knock.
In the all-important Champions Trophy clash against India in Dubai, the Pakistan captain walked in at 47/2 and added 46 valuable runs.
However, the runs scored by Rizwan ended up coming at an eye-watering strike rate of 59.74. That’s right, the right-hander ended up taking 77 balls for his 46. It is, on record, the slowest knock played by a Pakistan wicketkeeper this century.

In fact, on record, where data available, Rizwan’s 46 today is the third-slowest knock by a Pakistan wicketkeeper ever.

Rizwan got out for 46 in the 34th over, and that triggered a mini-collapse as Pakistan fell from 151/2 to 165/5 in the blink of an eye.
