After their 28-run defeat against England in the first Test in Hyderabad, India have dropped to No. 5 in the World Test Championship (WTC) points table.
They were second before the Test, only behind Australia. South Africa, New Zealand and Bangladesh are now all placed above them.
India’s points percentage has now dropped from 54.16 to 43.33.
India have played five Tests in the ongoing WTC cycle, having won two and lost two, with one ending in a draw.
Despite the win, England had to drop one spot to No. 8 due to West Indies registering a historic win in the second Test in Australia.
