India-England Series Will Help Sell More Tickets For Ashes: CA CEO

Todd Greenberg reveals how the India-England series will help in Ashes ticket sales

The series between India and England has been a well-contested one, with all the matches so far going deep into the final day. According to Cricket Australia (CA) CEO Todd Greenberg, the series acts as an excellent prelude to the upcoming Ashes series, in November.

“It’s great, isn’t it? It’s great cricket [India vs England series for Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy] to watch as a fan,” Greenberg told the Sydney Morning Herald.

“Everyone will have their opinion when our English friends arrive, I’m sure, and we’re looking forward to that very much. I love the way they’re playing their cricket, and I can’t wait to see them test themselves on our shores.

“It’s great cricket to watch, leading into them coming here on this Ashes trip. It will sell more tickets for us. We like to think that’s talkability"

CA hopes to have record-breaking ticket sales for the Ashes and wants to go past the 837,879 gross fans footfall, which was achieved during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) in 2024-25, the most outside the Ashes. The highest is 946,750, which was during the 1936-37 Ashes.

The Ashes 2025-26 will get underway from November 21, with the first Test in Perth.Ashes
