India, Pakistan Likely To Clash At Least Twice In Asia Cup 2025: Report

The Asian Cricket Council has finalised a 17-day window for the tournament, with the final likely to take place on September 21

The Asia Cup 2025 is set to begin on September 5, with the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan match scheduled for September 7, according to a report on the Times of India on July 2 (Wednesday).

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has finalised a 17-day window for the tournament, with the final likely to take place on September 21.

Six teams will participate in the competition — India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and the UAE.

The tournament will follow a group stage and super fours format, which means India and Pakistan are expected to face each other at least twice. Their second encounter will likely happen on September 14.

While India are the official host, the tournament will be held in the UAE. As per the TOI report, the Indian government is close to granting clearance for the event, amid earlier concerns due to ongoing cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan.

Meanwhile, official broadcaster Sony has already released a promotional poster for the tournament across its social media platforms.
