The senior men’s Indian cricket team will host South Africa and West Indies at home in the 2025-26 season. The BCCI informed of the development while announcing the team’s home season on April 2 (Wednesday).
The Indian team’s home season will begin with a two-match series against the West Indies, one of three home Test series for India in the 2025-27 cycle of the World Test Championship (WTC).
After the return of the West Indies team, South Africa will come to India for an all-format tour which will include two Tests, three ODIs and five T20Is. The Tests against the Proteas will once again be part of WTC 2025-27. It will give Rohit Sharma-led Indian team an opportunity to build momentum and consolidate on the WTC points table with wins at home.
India will be playing their first-ever Test match at Guwahati, marking a significant start.
