India had the rough end of the stick on Day 2 of the fourth Test against England at Old Trafford in Manchester on July 24 (Thursday). They could add only 94 runs to their overnight score of 264/4 and got bowled out for 258.
In reply, England have already smacked 225 and are only two wickets down with both their openers batting brilliantly. While Zak Crawley made 84 before getting caught by KL Rahul off Ravindra Jadeja, Ben Duckett got even closer, smashing 94 off 100 balls before nicking one to substitute wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel and getting out eventually.
However, even after that, India were unable to make inroads and led only by 133 at the end of Day 2.

But what about the weather?
As per the BBC Weather, the Old Trafford Area of Manchester will not see any rain, unlike on Day 2, where half an hour of play was interrupted, and an early lunch had to be taken.
The temperatures will remain in the sub-20s at the start of the match at local time 11 am (3:30 pm IST). The sun is likely to play hide and seek with the clouds throughout the day, with a gentle breeze blowing. But there is no forecast of rain.
One could assume it to be a good day for batting. However, pacers are expected to find more help on Day three in Manchester. Since 2012, 28 wickets have been taken on the third day at an average of 22.2, which is the best for pacers amongst the five.
