Jasprit Bumrah has been carrying India’s bowling unit for a while now, and what transpired on Day 2 and 3 of the first Test against England at Headingley was no different.
The ace paceman finished with figures of 5/83 in 24.4 overs, but once again found no support from the other end. Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Shadul Thakur, and Ravindra Jadeja picked up five wickets between them for 356 runs.
It was only because of Bumrah that India managed to take a six-run lead, and that too after slamming 471 in the first innings.
Here’s what everyone had to say on ‘X’ after England’s first innings.
