The 2025 Champions Trophy is set to begin in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on February 19. The COO of the Emirates Cricket Board has ensured that there will be no issues with ticket sales for the India games that will be played in the UAE, as all tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Amongst these clashes, is also the marquee India - Pakistan clash on February 23, which can see many spectator records being broken.
“With so many Indians and Pakistanis living here, these games are more than just cricket; they’re a celebration,” Subhan Ahmed, the Emirates Cricket Board current and Pakistan Cricket Board’s former COO said.
“Fans from both sides come together to support their teams and enjoy the sport, creating an electric atmosphere,” Ahmed said. “We expect these matches to be very entertaining and hope to see record-breaking support from fans.”
“Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring fans from both India and Pakistan, as well as others, can enjoy the action,” Ahmed added.
“We’re committed to ensuring cricket lovers can attend without unnecessary hurdles. The UAE offers unmatched facilities and government support, making it a prime location for events, even at short notice,” he concluded.
Earlier, Dubai in UAE was selected as the neutral venue for hosting the India games in the tournament as ICC amended its rules, giving both India and Pakistan the right to play at neutral venues in tournaments hosted by the opposition.
