India Women set to tour Australia in September 2021 for limited-overs series
NEWSCricket Australia are expected to make an official announcement in the coming days
India Women are srt to tour Australia in September this year for an One_day International (ODI) series comprising of three matches. The tour was initially supposed to take place in January this year, but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The tour could also see a three-match T20 International (T20I) being played between India and Australia.
Cricket Australia (CA) is yet to confirm the news, Australia Women fast bowler Megan Schutt confirmed the news of India's tour on No Balls: The Cricket Podcast.
"We have got a tour against India in mid-September," Schutt said in an episode aired on May 13.
"So, there's a couple of camps. I believe we are doing one in Darwin, which will be really cool... and then the tour against India. And then pretty much from there things get crazy with Big Bash, WNCL, Ashes, World Cup, and hopefully the Commonwealth Games."
CA are expected to make the official announcement in the coming days. India's next assignment is however a Test, followed by limited-overs series against England, beginning from June 16.
