Watch: Clever Chahal Gives Nicholas Pooran A Send-Off After Outfoxing Him

Yuzvendra Chahal managed to outfox an in-form Nicholas Pooran, dangling the carrot outside off to the West Indian batter and bowling a googly. Pooran tried to slash hard at it, but he could only reach the long-off fielder and was dismissed for 44(30), reducing Lucknow Super Giants to 89/4.

LSG were sent in to bat first in Lucknow by Punjab King skipper Shreyas Iyer after he won the toss and decided to bowl first in Lucknow. Aiden Markram gave a good start to the home side after Arshdeep Singh dismissed Mitch Marsh in the first over the game itself. He got going with three fours in Arshdeep’s next over but was dismissed in the fourth over by Lockie Ferguson. 

At 33/2, LSG needed Nicholas Pooran and Rishabh Pant to notch up a strong partnership but the LSG skipper played a very loose shot in the next over bowled by Maxwell. 

However, Pooran continued to play on and smashed five fours and two sixes in just 29 deliveries. It took some really smart bowling by Chahal to lure him in his trap. The wicket clearly meant a lot to Chahal as he let out a loud expletive in his send off to the batter.
