India's Champions Trophy 2025 jerseys will have Pakistan's name in official logo, confirms BCCI secretary

"We will follow whatever are the ICC guidelines. We will follow the ICC directive,” said BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia

Indian players will have the official International Cricket Council (ICC) logo, which will include Pakistan's imprint, on their jerseys during the 2025 Champions Trophy, the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed to Cricbuzz.

"We will follow whatever are the ICC guidelines. We will follow the ICC directive,” Devajit Saikia told Cricbuzz on January 22 (Wednesday).

Pakistan are the official hosts of the Champions Trophy, starting on February 19, even though India are playing all their games in Dubai.

In the 2021 T20 World Cup, Pakistan had official hosts India’s name on their jerseys even though the entire tournament was held in the UAE. The Men in Green did the same during the 2016 T20 World Cup and the 2023 ODI World Cup in India.

Saikia, however, offered no confirmation on Indian captain Rohit Sharma travelling to Pakistan for the captains' press conference and photo shoot.

The 2025 Champions Trophy will get underway on February 19 and India will play their first encounter against Bangladesh on February 20.
