Injured Chahar likely to miss majority of IPL 2022
The CSK pacer suffered a leg injury during the third T20I against West Indies which also ruled him out of the series against Sri Lanka
Chennai Super Kings pacer Deepak Chahar is likely to miss majority of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 due to a quadricep tear that has sidelined him for the ongoing series against Sri Lanka.
According to a report by ESPNCricinfo, CSK are awaiting final assessment on the 29-year old who is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
Chahar suffered the injury during the third T20I against West Indies which saw him ruled out of the T20Is against Sri Lanka. The pacer attracted the second highest bid for the season and was bought by the defending champions for Rs 14 crore in the recent IPL 2022 mega auction.
Since joining from Rising Pune Supergiants in 2018, Chahar has played 58 matches for CSK and claimed as many wickets at an average of 27.7.
