Rajasthan Royals pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile has flown back to Australia for rehabilitation for side strain he suffered during their first match of IPL 2022 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Team physio John Gloster confirmed that the fast bowler has been ruled out of the tournament due to the issue.
"It's always hard to lose someone, particularly when it's through injury. And you know we were really looking forward to spending a lot of time with you throughout this tournament," Gloster said about Coulter-Nile in a video posted by RR's Twitter handle on Wednesday.

"Unfortunately, that's not going to be. But you are a big part of us. Anything you need from us, we are always here. We look forward to having you back with us, whenever that might be," he said.
RR had secured the services of Coulter-Nile for Rs 2 Crore in the recent mega-auction. The 34-year old had previously played for Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL and claimed 48 from 39 matches in the tournament.
