Ten new players have been added to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 auction list, which also includes Australia's ambidextrous bowler Nivethan Radhakrishnan, was part of the recently-concluded Under-19 World Cup in the Caribbean.
Players who have included themselves in this list are Aaron Hardie, Lance Morris, Nivethan Radhakrishnan (all Australia), Agnivesh Ayachi, Hardik Tamore, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Mihir Hirwani, Monu Kumar, Rohan Rana, Sairaj Patil (all India). As a result, as many as 600 players have been registered in the auction.
India player Deepak Hooda has been upgraded to the capped category, having made his debut in the ODI series against West Indies recently. His base price too has gone up from INR 40 lakh to INR 75 lakh.
The two-day IPL auction will kick start in Bengaluru on February and 13 and as many as 97 players will be up for grabs on the first day. The first six sets, which comprises of 54 players will feature capped players, marquee players with the remaining five sets consisting of uncapped players.
Players 98 to 161 will be bid for On Sunday until lunch and then the rest of the players' name will go up at the auction table.
The IPL 2022 is tentatively set to kick start from March 27 and run till the end of May. The venues will be decided in the third week of February.
