Virat Kohli - 300 points
Bengaluru might not have made a great start to the 2024 Indian T20 League, but their talisman, Virat Kohli, has been on fire. After 15 games, he’s accumulated 300 points, which is the highest among all players. He’s accumulated more than 100 points in a single game twice this season- versus Kolkata and Punjab. What’s crystal clear is that Kohli is a must-have in your Fantasy XI every time Bengaluru play.
Nicholas Pooran - 270 points
This season, Nicholas Pooran has scored 60 fewer runs than Kohli yet has accumulated more points per game (90) than the latter. That’s how impactful the southpaw has been. Pooran has been delivering points by smashing sixes for fun — 12 in total — but has also been collecting points on the field. He’s taken four catches so far this season, which is the joint-second most among all players.
Heinrich Klaasen - 260 points
He’s hit five more sixes (17) than any other player this season and has proven to be the ultimate dream pick for Fantasy players. Heinrich Klaasen has made a monster start to this Indian T20 League season, and, at this point, it looks like he can’t be stopped. In the Mumbai clash, the right-hander accumulated 124 points. Every time Hyderabad play, it’s almost a safe bet to captain or vice-captain Klaasen; that’s how good he is.
Riyan Parag - 260 points
Tied with Klaasen for the third spot is a name not many would have expected to be on this list ahead of the season. It’s none other than Riyan Parag, who has arguably been the Player of the Tournament thus far. He’s a three-dimensional player, but despite not bowling a single ball, Parag has accumulated 260 Fantasy points. Rajasthan have played three matches thus far, and Parag has amassed 60+ points in every single encounter. At this point, whenever Rajasthan play, picking Parag in your Fantasy XI should be non-negotiable.
Sam Curran - 239 points
Completing the top five is a rather surprising candidate, Sam Curran. The Punjab all-rounder has not taken the competition by storm like the top four players have, but he’s quietly had a very good season. He’s scored 87 runs with the bat and has taken four wickets with the ball. Such has been Curran’s consistency this season that he has accumulated at least 70 points in every match he’s played.
Quinton de Kock - 207 points
On April 2 (Tuesday), Quinton de Kock smashed back-to-back half-centuries in the Indian T20 League for the first time since 2020. He’s started this season brightly, making him a valuable asset for all Fantasy players. After a poor start to the season against Rajasthan, de Kock has amassed 198 Fantasy points across his last two games.
David Warner - 205 points
One of the most reliable points-accumulators in this competition’s history has started this season on a fantastic note — at the ripe old age of 37. After 15 games, Warner surprisingly is the only Australian who finds himself in the Top 15. He is also the only Aussie to have accumulated 200+ Fantasy points so far this season. He is your go-to man whenever Delhi play.
Andre Russell - 205 points
Don’t get fooled by the fact that Andre Russell is eighth on this list, for he’s been the ultimate Fantasy player’s dream so far this season, averaging 102.5 points per game. That’s right, Kolkata, at the time of writing this, have played only two games, yet Russell has amassed a whopping 205 points. And this despite him not even batting in the clash against Bengaluru. In the form he is in, just captain him whenever Kolkata play.
Mustafizur Rahman - 199 points
The first and only specialist bowler in this list is Chennai’s Mustafizur Rahman, who has been an absolute gun this season, much to everyone's surprise. Mustafizur accumulated 120 points on his Chennai debut and has not looked back since. But be wary of picking him in your XI going forward. He could miss Chennai’s next clash due to personal reasons.
Tilak Varma - 198 points
Rounding off the top 10 is a surprising name, Mumbai’s Tilak Varma. The youngster has been ultra-consistent, amassing at least 50 points in each of the three matches he’s played. Tilak has been a silver lining in what’s been a miserable season for Mumbai so far.
