IPL 2025: Angkrish Raghuvanshi Slams Fifty After Series Of Starts

The KKR batter slammed his first IPL fifty at the Eden Gardens on April 3 (Thursday)

After a series of starts, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi slammed a fifty off 30 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Kolkata. This is his first fifty since his debut against Delhi Capitals (DC) last season, and also his first half-century at the Eden Gardens.

He was given a reprieve when he was dropped by Nitish Kumar Reddy in his 40s, but showed great intent right from the moment he came in and has made this knock count.

He made starts in all the matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 so far. He started off with 30 off 22 agianst Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), unbeaten 22 off 17 against Rajasthan Royals (RR) and 26 off 16 against Mumbai Indians (MI) heading into this fame. But against SRH, he not only made a start but also turned it into a substantial score.

After KKR lost Quinton de Kock and Sunil Narine early, Raghuvanshi and skipper Ajinkya Rahane put on 81 off just 51 deliveries to resurrect the KKR innings.

Raghuvanshi was India's leading run-getter in the Under-19 World Cup 2022, scoring 278 runs in six innings, and played a key role in guiding his country to the title.

He was bought by KKR in the 2024 auction at his base price of INR 20 lakh. Overall, he has 291 runs for KKR in the IPL at strike rate of 151.6
