Gujarat Titans (GT) will be kicking themselves that they couldn’t make it to the top two, as they now will have to face Mumbai Indians (MI) on May 30 (Friday) at the Maharaja Yadvinder Singh International Stadium in Mullanpur, Punjab in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Eliminator.
MI, too, had a chance to get themselves into the top two, but like GT, they missed the opportunity against Punjab Kings (PBKS). But, bygones are bygones, as the two teams will just have one chance to redeem themselves and keep their season afloat.
Both teams will be without their star players - Jos Buttler (GT), Will Jacks (MI), Kagiso Rabada (GT) and Ryan Rickelton (MI) - which will not only force them to change their playing XIs and, in return, deploy new tactics.
In Buttler’s absence, GT will have no choice but to play their new signing, Kusal Mendis, who will be making his IPL debut. Rabada’s absence, however, won’t cost GT, as the right-arm pacer has had quite a terrible season with the ball, averaging 81.0, with just two wickets.
So, how will Gujarat line up for the IPL 2025 Eliminator clash against Mumbai?
