All-rounder Krunal Pandya becomes the first-ever player to win the Player of the Match in an Indian Premier League (IPL) final twice. Pandya had previously won the award in 2017, while he was with Mumbai Indians (MI). His 47 off 38 and with the bat and 0/31 with the ball meant that his side went on to win by one run in Hyderabad.
In the 2025 final, Krunal could not do much with the bat, but he was RCB's star performer with the ball. He bowled a tight spell, finishing with 2/17 from his four overs, which included the big wickets of Prabhsimran Singh and Josh Inglis. Inglis' wicket, especially, turned the game around as he was looking set, and was eventually dismissed for 39 off 23.
Thanks to Krunal, RCB went on to pip Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2025 final to claim their maiden title. This was his first season with RCB, with the franchise securing his services for INR 5.75 crore at the auction.
