Gujarat Titans (GT), who are currently at the top of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 points table, had a training session at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 11 (Sunday), reported the Times of India.
If some of the reports are to be believed, the IPL 2025 is set to resume in a couple of days after the ceasefire was declared on Saturday (May 10). The BCCI has already informed the franchises to assemble their players by May 13 (Tuesday) ahead of the restart of the 2025 season. The final is likely to take place on May 30 instead of May 25.
"Yes, we have started training. The boys looked sharp, and we are ready to go. Our entire squad stuck around. Only Jos and Gerald, but they will come back as required,” a GT official told the TOI.
Apart from Jos Buttler and Gerald Coetzee, all the GT overseas players have stayed back. The franchise is confident that both Buttler and Coetzee will return once the dates are announced.
17 more matches are to be played, including the PBKS vs Delhi Capitals (DC) clash, which was suspended after just 10.1 overs. The BCCI is also planning to add more double-headers to end the tournament on time. According to multiple reports, IPL 2025 is expected to resume on May 15-17.
Shubman Gill and Co. have won eight of their 11 games and one more win would confirm their place in the playoffs. However, they also have a serious of chance of finishing the league stage as one of the top-two teams, which will help in the playoffs.
