IPL 2025: List Of Fastest Centuries In Indian Premier League History

Chris Gayle and his gigantic hundreds have been a big part of Indian Premier League (IPL) folklore over the years. However, he has not only hit daddy hundreds, but also the fastest of them as well. 

Gayle smashed a hundred in just 30 balls against the now-defunct Pune Warriors in IPL 2013. The 2025 edition of IPL might see that record getting broken, but as of now, Gayle reigns supreme. 

Here are some interesting facts about the list of fastest IPL hundreds: 

- The fastest hundred by an Indian batter in the IPL came in just 37 balls and remained the fastest by anyone till Gayle broke it. Yusuf Pathan scored a century in just 37 balls against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2010.

- Mayank Agarwal is the only Indian among the top 10 fastest centurions in IPL history, apart from Yusuf Pathan. The Karnataka batter smashed his IPL ton in only 45 balls, playing for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2020. 

- Among the top 10 fastest centurions, six are from teams representing two cities only (3 from Royal Challengers Bengaluru, two from Sunrisers Hyderabad [SRH] and one from Deccan Chargers, a team that represented Hyderabad before SRH). 

- No player features in the top 10 list of fastest centurions more than once, giving a glimpse of how hard it is to score a century in the IPL and how harder it is to score it in balls less than 45.
