The battle for the playoffs has already heated up as the second half of the 2025 season of the Indian Premier League started on May 17 after a brief pause due to the cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan. Now, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will be going up against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 61 of IPL 2025 and they will have to not only win the game, but also win it by a big margin.
That’s because while SRH are officially out of the tournament, LSG still have a small chance to enter the playoffs, but for that they’ll have to win all of their remaining three games and aim to reach 16 points.

While SRH are already out of the tournament, LSG still have a lot at stake and one can expect the team to come out in full gusto against SRH. The home side would be the favourites to win the game.
Nicholas Pooran has been the best batter amongst both the sides without a doubt. The West Indian powerhouse has smoked 410 runs at a strike rate of 200 in 11 innings so far in the competition. He has had a slump of late, but expect him to bounce back and shine against his former side. In the previous H2H clash, Pooran smashed 70 off just 26 balls.
Harshal Patel has been the best bowler amongst both the sides, and has picked 14 wickets so far in 10 games at an average of 22.9, going at 9.44 runs/over. He could take a flurry of wickets should the surface turn out to be remotely tacky.
The average score batting first in Lucknow has been 176, but the average winning score is 203, indicating that the pitch has been good to bat on this season. Expect it to remain the same in Monday's clash.
There's no chance of rain in Lucknow on Monday, but it's going to be really hot with the temperature likely to be between 39 and 29 degree celsius in the day.
