Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Match 6 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on March 26 (Wednesday).
Both teams didn’t have a great start to the IPL 2025 and would look to quickly turn things around. RR allowed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to smash 286 and lost the game by 44 runs. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) hammered KKR by seven wickets in the first match of the IPL 2025.

Kolkata Knight Riders are still the better side on paper, and one would expect the defending champions to get the better of RR on March 26.
Sanju Samson has been in pretty good form in the 20-over format. In his last 16 innings, the right-hander from Kerala has hit 580 runs at an average of 38.67 and a strike rate of 176.3, studded with two fifties and three centuries. Even in the first game, Samson slammed 66 off 37 vs SRH.
Varun Chakaravarthy finished with figures of 1/43 against RCB, but the mystery spinner has been in superb form since 2024. Chakaravarthy, who has now become a regular part of the Indian T20I unit, has claimed 62 wickets in 35 T20s since 2024.
The Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati has hosted five T20s (four IPL games and India-Australia T20I) since 2023. The average first-innings winning score at this venue is 198, so we are in for another high-scoring affair. Both pacers and spinners have operated at an economy of close to 9, but the former have a slightly better strike rate (20.7 vs 23.6).
There’s no chance of rain in Guwahati on March 26 (Wednesday). The temperature is likely to be around 25-30 degrees Celcius during match hours.
