Following their six-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 70 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) confirmed their spot in the top two, which will give them two cracks of making it to the final.
RCB finished the league stage at No.2 on the IPL 2025 points table, just below Punjab Kings (PBKS). Both teams finished with 19 points, but PBKS finished at the top because of their superior NRR.
Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) take the last two playoff spots, finishing at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively.
RCB and PBKS will play the Qualifier 1, while GT and MI will play in the Eliminator. The loser of the RCB-PBKS game will then take on the winner of the Eliminator in the Qualifier 2.
