Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja became the fifth player to reach the landmark of 250 Indian Premier League (IPL) matches. He achieved this feat during the game against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Chepauk.
Jadeja is only behind MS Dhoni (274), Rohit Sharma (266), Virat Kohli (262) and Dinesh Karthik (257) among those who have made the most appearances in the league.
Jadeja has represented four IPL teams since making his debut in 2008. This is his 182nd match for CSK. He also played 27 games for Rajasthan Royals (RR), 27 for Gujarat Lions (GL) and 14 for Kochi Tuskers Kerala (KTK).
Overall, he has 3125 runs in the IPL and 166 wickets, making him the only player in the tournament's history to have the double of 3,000-plus runs and 150-plus wickets.
In the ongoing season, Jadeja has slammed 166 runs in nine innings at a strike rate of 125.75. He has six wickets with the ball at an economy rate of 8.23.
CSK are at the bottom of the IPL 2025 points table with four points from nine matches. A loss against PBKS in this game will see CSK out of contention for a place in the playoffs.
