IPL 2025: SRH Name Harsh Dubey As Smaran Ravichandran's Replacement
The all-rounder comes into the side for a price of INR 30 lakh
Smaran Ravichandran has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 due to an injury and all-rounder Harsh Dubey has been named as his replacement for the remainder of the season by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Smaran was bought in the IPL 2025 auction for INR 30 lakh and Dubey has been procured for the same price.
Smaran had come into the limelight earlier this year when his century for Karnataka against Vidarbha in the Vijay Hazare Trophy final helped his side lift the trophy.
Dubey, 22, a left-arm spinner, has picked up nine wickets in 18 matches and has not been in prolific with the bat, having managed just 19 runs in five innings. He has been more impactful in first-class cricket, where he is just three short of 100 wickets from 18 matches. He was also part of Vidarbha's Ranji Trophy-winning campaign recently.
SRH are in ninth position with six points from 10 matches. They are more or less out of contention for a place in the playoffs. A loss in their next match against Delhi Capitals (DC) on May 5 (Monday) will confirm their elimination from the tournament.
