Follow UsThere was an ugly moment on the field when Delhi Capitals (DC) players Ashutosh Sharma and Mukesh Kumar were involved in an ugly collision. The incident took place in the 19th over of Mumbai Indians' (MI) innings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on April 13 (Sunday).
Tilak Varma edged the ball between short third man and point. However, both fielders ran in from their positions and then collided with each other. The physios rushed to the ground immediately, and the players were taken off the field.
However, Mukesh seemed to have recovered well enough to bowl the final over the innings. However, Ashutosh continued to stay on the sidelines.
There is no word on how serious Ashutosh's injury is. With over 200 to chase, he will surely be required for DC at some point. He played a match-winning knock in DC's first match of IPL 2025 against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), scoring 66* off 31 to take his side over the line.
