The battle for the playoffs is intensifying in the 2025 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) with more than half of the season already being completed.
The Gujarat Titans (GT) are leading the points table with Delhi Capitals (DC), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) following them. While GT and DC have lost only two games out of eight and have 12 points on the board (with GT’s NRR of 1.104 being higher than DC’s 0.657), RCB and PBKS have won five games out of eight and have 10 points each (with RCB’s NRR of 0.472 being higher than PBKS’s 0.177).
Lucknow are fifth with 10 points in nine games, and Mumbai, after winning some crucial games, are on the sixth place with eight points in eight games.
Meanwhile, the remaining four sides are lagging behind a bit from the top six and might find it hard to make a comeback from here to reach the top four.
