Sanju Samson will miss Rajasthan Royals (RR)’s next Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 24 (Thursday) due to an abdominal injury.
In a press release, RR stated: "Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson is currently undergoing recovery and will remain at the team's home base with select RR medical staff.
“As part of his ongoing rehab process, he will not be travelling to Bangalore for the upcoming match against RCB.
"The team management is monitoring his progress closely and will take a game-by-game approach regarding his return to action."
Samson, who got injured against Delhi Capitals (DC), also missed RR’s last fixture against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). In his absence, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his IPL debut.
Riyan Parag is currently leading the RR unit. They have won only two of their eight games and are currently at No.8 on the IPL 2025 points table.
