The Indian Domestic T20 Leagues have continued to churn out some exciting talent as every T20 league happening across the country has produced some outstanding talent. There have been some excellent powerplay bashers who have taken the field restriction advantage and have smashed boundaries for fun.
Here are three notable powerplay bashers who can get an IPL contract in the upcoming IPL Auction:
TUSHAR RAHEJA (TAMIL NADU)
Tushar Raheja is easily the most complete batter in the domestic T20 leagues in 2025 as the 24-year-old has showcased consistency, maturity and ability to do score quickly across phases. The wicket-keeper batter is currently the highest run scorer in TNPL 2025, smashing 351 runs in six innings with four consecutive fifties in first four games. He has batted terrifically in the powerplay, getting out only once in the powerplay. He has scored runs at a good rate, striking at 206 S,R, hitting 20 fours and 14 sixes.
ABHISHEK PATHAK (MADHYA PRADESH)
Abhishek Pathak showcased his big-hitting ability in the best way, as his batting SR of 260 is the best for any batter in the first six overs across all the domestic T20 competitions. The 28-year-old batter playing in the Madhya Pradesh League hammered 37 boundaries in the powerplay alone, which is more than the overall boundaries of other batters. Teams at the IPL 2026 auction will be hunting for powerplay strikers, and Abhishek Pathak will be a good signing.
DEEP KHENI (BARODA)
Deep Kheni was the best power hitter coming out of the inaugural edition of the Baroda Premier League. The right-hand opener who was the third highest run scorer of the tournament, scoring 191 runs at a SR of 189. The 23-year-old has played like a designated powerplay batter as he score 181 or 191 runs in the first six overs alone. He smashed 18 fours and 13 sixes in this phase giving a massive head start early on in the innings. With high potential and age on his side and, teams can sign him with an interest of long term investment.
