Ravindra Jadeja wielded the willow like a sword once again as he hit his 28th Test fifty in his 86th Test match, during the first innings of the first Test of the two-match series against West Indies.
Playing at his state capital, Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, Jadeja, on October 3 (Friday), he also created a unique record as he went past MS Dhoni in the list of most sixes hit by an Indian batter in Tests.
On his way to his fifty, Jadeja hit four sixes, which is also the joint-most by an Indian batter reaching their fifty.

With the four sixes that he hit, Jadeja managed to go past Dhoni’s tally of 78 sixes in Tests and now sits in fourth place amongst Indian batters with most sixes in the red-ball format.
