Jadeja pips Holder as top-ranked all-rounder in ICC Test rankings

The India all-rounder is just two ranking points ahead of his West Indies counterpart

India's Ravindra Jadeja dislodges former West Indies captain Jason Holder as the top-ranked Test all-rounder, according to the latest ICC rankings. Jadeja with 386 ranking points is just two clear of Holder, followed by Ben Stokes in third with 377 points, followed by Ravichandran Ashwin with 353 points. Ashwin also remained second in the bowlers' list, with Pat Cummins leading the charts and New Zealand pacer Tim Southee in at third.

Holder did not have a particularly good series against South Africa at home recently. He managed just six wickets at 24.33 and with the bat, he scored just 34 runs 8.50 in two Tests. West Indies succumbed to a 2-0 series loss. Jadeja put in impressive performances in the World Test Championship (WTC). He scored 500 runs at 50 and with the ball, he picked up 29 wickets at 28.37 in 11 Tests.

There are no changes in the batting rankings. Steven Smith still leads the list, while Virat Kohli is the highest-ranked Indian batsman at fourth. Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma are joint-sixth in the ICC rankings for batsmen.
