KKR Boast About Planting Trees After CSK’s 61 Dots At Chepauk

According to the BCCI’s initiative, as many as 18 trees will be planted for every dot ball in IPL 2025

After six games, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) find themselves at the very bottom of the 2025 Indian Premier League with a whopping five straight losses. An outdated, slow approach has left CSK behind other teams this season and the side’s batters have been at the center of jokes for ‘helping the environment.’

According to the BCCI’s initiative, as many as 18 trees will be planted for every dot ball in IPL 2025. And with 245 dots, CSK have played the most dots in this edition of the IPL so far.

61 of these dots came against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Chepauk earlier this week, and on the back of that game, KKR took an indirect dig at the CSK batters on social media.

“61 dots bowled, 1098 trees planted,” KKR wrote on X, posting a picture of their players planting samplings.

Interestingly enough, with 234 dots, KKR are second on the list for the most dots played in IPL 2025. Among teams who have played six games, Gujarat Titans (197) have played the least number of dots.
